Pier pressure's first show

Well, last Saturday was a blast, it was my first show with my new band, PIER PRESSURE. I had about 50 of my friends show up to a local bar in San Mateo, called the Swingin Door, where the old Prince of Wales Pub used to be. It was so much fun! Matt, the new guitar player, tore it up! He is amazing, and Jesse and Scot were ON as usual! They're so awesome! We played for over 3 hours, and almost ran out of songs. Even my college professor showed up from San Jose. I can't wait til next week, we'll be playing at Maggie McGarry's in North Beach the night before Thanksgiving. Last week was pretty cool, I got to go surfing, with Cameron and Catherine, first time in a few weeks, although it was cold, it was so worth it. Then, I had several people over for dinner on Monday, played a little pictionary(kind of got dirty after a while)....and went go kart racing on Sunday in Burlingame with my friend Chris. I finally found my stools for my kitchen bar counter that I've been searching for over a year (well, my designer friend Kellie found them), and we proceeded to run and dive in the middle of the aisle filled with pillows and comforters in ROSS , San Mateo. Classy, huh?

Among that, I got to see Jeff Riddle's two friends playing live at a cute Bistro in Redwood City called Angelina's, last Wednesday, and both of them were named Martin. We had a group dinner, nice food, and enjoyed great folk type music, originals, and Jeff stood in with Martin for a few songs. Last night was MOnday night football at Cameron's house~ always a good time. Catherine Dennis moved in with me this month, we went to high school together, so we're having a ball.

Hawaii Trip with the Girls Fab 4 September 2007

Well, the Fab 4 had an amazing trip to Hawaii...it all started on day 1, meeting cute air force pilots on Waikiki Beach and partying all night at a club called Tsunami. Each day was beautiful, we layed out on the beach, and Kellie got surf lessons from a guy who offered to take us on his friend's boat. So, we went, and luckily for us, it wasn't just a boat, but a 60 foot yacht that we got to go sailing on for hours. We even won the race! The sunsets here in Honolulu are amazing, and the best part was getting to surf alot. I loved it! The crystal clear gorgeous tropical water with the hot sunshine was perfection! We also met a crew of Navy guys to
hang out with and they kept it pretty interesting to say the least. Mike, one of the Navy boys, took me out surfing to local spots and I caught the most killer waves ever! We ate a lot of great food, shopped a little, tanned a lot, and I hiked to the top of Diamondhead Volcano.
Then, Kellie and I went on an illegal hike to a gorgeous waterfall (in skirts and flip flops no less) and afterwards we went to a Luau. Each night was great partying until no earlier than 4, sometimes 6:30 am, and adrenaline was my savior. Pretty much the best week of my life~ Man, I love that place, I could definitely live here, at least for a year. ;) Maybe one day soon I'll return to paradise.

Hot August Nights in San Francisco

This week has been a blast, just hanging out with friends and exploring new places in San Francisco has occupied most of my time. I finally bought my first surfboard, and it's PINK of cousre, and really nice. It's a hybrid 7'10" board, and I have riden twice this week. Between working at the dealership and singing and rehearsing with my new band, it's been a busy week, but I'm looking forward to booking some gigs with the new guy soon. My favorite bar is called Americano, right on the Embarcadero, known for it's great happy hours and good "scenery." Last weekend, I had the pleasure of singing at my lovely friend Shannon's wedding. I saw her in Hawaii the night she met Mr. Duane Douglas Pierce, and four months later, they wed. It was a really sweet loving ceremony. Thursday night, Anita invited Kellie and I out for some salsa dancing, and we had quite the time busting our new moves on the dance floor. It was actually alot of fun, and some of those dirty dancing people could really break it down. I am leaving this next Wednesday to go to Hawaii for a week with the Fab 4, so I cannot wait! ~ Otherwise, life is good. My friends are great, and I am so appreciative of all the fun exciting things to do out here in the bay Area. The smiles keep coming and now all I want to do is travel, so we'll see where I get to go next. I'm thinking...Australia maybe?

Who knows...

The Fab 4 Strike again...

Last night was a lot of fun, singing with the Rodeo Clowns at 40s pub in San Bruno. It's a smaller local bar with lots of character. We had a good crowd including my boss and his wife, The Pool Shark-Justin and his buds, and several other fans. Stay tuned til next Saturday at Behans' in Burlingame...

Barry Bonds' #756

What a great time! I took my roomie Morgan and my friend Kristen to the Giant's game on Tuesday and what good fortune for us...we had front row seats down the first base line, chatted up with the other bullpen, and witnessed history as Barry Bonds hit the 756th homerun to pass Hank Aaron as the all time record holder for the most home runs. IT was so exciting! Fireworks, craziness, etc...pandemonium. Afterwards, we hit up Blue lights on Union Street, hung out with Irish tourists, and went down Lombard St...it's a tradition!

Yesterday I rode down the coast on a motorcycle for the first time! It was so exciting! My buddy Dennis' new motorcycle was really nice and we stopped at a cute restaurant called Alice's and had supper, and I highly recommend the tastey spoonful...it's basically a flourless chocolate cake to DIE for~

Selling cars...

We're not all as bad as people perceive us, classifying us with lawyers and scum, but I have actually been a CAR SALES"MAN" for over 6 years. I've been selling for Chevrolet Cadillac and Hummer, and I'm now the Internet Manager. I've met so many interesting people, many clients who are now my friends, and learned so much about every aspect of the industry. A few of my more well known clients included Barry Bonds, Jim Plunkett, Jerry Rice, Aaron Oberholser, Rob Nenn, Matt Herges, and Langston Walker were all pleasant experiences, and interesting people to meet. I've sold several of my clients multiple cars, assisted their parents, cousins, children, and other friends with their purchases, and it's great knowing that they trust me to handle that large transaction for them. So don't believe everything you hear, if you need a good deal on a car or truck, just let me know and I'm always happy to assist you. :)

The Rodeo Clowns

I've been in a band called the Rodeo Clowns for about a year now, it's more classic rock cover songs, and I'm the vocalist. We have very talented musicians and play all over the Bay Area, including North Beach's Maggie McGarry's in San Francisco, Johnny Foley's near Union Square, Oneill's Irish Pubs in San Francisco and San Mateo, Kingfish Restaurant in San Mateo, Behan's in Burlingame, 40s Pub in San Bruno, and Nick's Rockaway in Pacifica. We've performed at private parties, bars, restaurants, Corporate Events and we have an upcoming wedding to perform at the reception. I'm loving it, and looking forward to starting some of my own side projects to branch out my vocal experiences.
